The History of FMC
Fairview Machine Company has operated in its present facility since 1963, always expanding, modernizing, and improving our efficiency and tolerances. But we wouldn’t be where we are today without the first incarnation of Fairview, founded by Thomas Otto Moulton in his basement in 1962. Otto—as everyone knew him—was a dedicated engineer. The story goes that the family had to go without plumbing one weekend; Otto needed to machine several feet of copper last-minute for a client and the only place to get it was from the family house. (We laugh about it now, but Grandma Connie was not pleased back then.)

A third-generation family business, Fairview’s 75 employees are inspired by Otto’s example, maintaining customer service standards as high as the quality of their machining and assembly services.
